This amazing monarch opal has hues of blue, green, red and black. This opal is set in a solid 14k gold bezel, sterling silver backing (not seen when worn) and a 14k gold fill cuff band. Using these three different metals for one piece gives the look of solid gold but without the hefty price tag.

This cuff is a size small. It is slightly adjustable, but will fit best on wrists that measure 6"-6.75" large. The opal measures approximately 3/4" tall and just under 1/2" wide. The band has a beautiful hammered texture.

What is a monarch opal?
Monarch opal is a cultured opal certified by the GIA (Gemological Institute of America). It has nano particles of silica dioxide, just the same as natural opal. It takes about a year to grow. It is more durable than natural opals, so it is ideal for jewelry and it won't be harmed by detergents like hand soap. There are no color enhancements or dyes. All the colors are created by the prismatic effect of the light dispersion on the silica particles. These gorgeous monarch opals are grown right here in the USA.
